The Edge R&D

The TRADOC Capability Manager Lower Tier (TCM LT) Mission

The Edge R&D provides the TCM LT with subject matter expertise and
technical support. The Edge also provides qualified personnel to
assist in all operation and integration of the following:
- Doctrine, Organization, Training, Leaders, Materiel, Personnel
- Facilities (DOTLMPF)
- Activities associated with Cruise Missile Defense System (CMDS)
- Air and Missile Defense Command and Control Systems (AMDCCS)
- Counter Rocket, Artillery and Mortars (C-RAM).

The Edge R&D also provides centralized support within TCM LT for all
user requirements associated with the development, testing,
production, documentation, analysis, training, fielding and
Independent Verification and Validation (IVV) of all C-RAM related
activities to include but not limited to integration and interoperability
with Battle Management Command, Control, Communications,
Computers and Intelligence (BMC4I) Systems, Army Battlefield
Command Systems (ABCS), Air and Missile Defense (AMD) weapon
systems and C4I Systems such as, but not limited to the Patriot
Missiles Systems, Patriot Battery Command Post, Avenger Weapons
Systems, Forward Area Air Defense Command and Control (FAADC2),
Sentinel, Air and Missile Defense Planning and Control Systems
(AMDPCS), SLAMRAAM, JLENS, Common C4I and other systems under
development.

The Edge R&D also has the responsibility for monitoring and
supporting the migration strategy of all C-RAM Force Operation (FO)
functionalities into the Joint Command and Control (JC2) and Future
Combat Systems (FCS) architecture. The Edge Research and
Development assist the TCM LT to ensure all user interests are
considered, developed, refined and fully integrated in a timely manner
and subsequently tested in operationally tailored environments. TCM
LT Office serves as the single point of contact at the United States
Army Air Defense Artillery School (USAADASCH) to coordinate and
integrate all TRADOC activities pertaining to Cruise Missile Defense
System (CMDS), Air and Missile Defense Command and Control
Systems (AMDCCS) and Counter Rocket, Artillery and Mortars (C-RAM)
products and systems.
